The Detsky Mir mobile application is a fully functional version of the company's online store.

This is a great integration solution that works with the complex IT infrastructure of Detsky Mir and third-party systems. This level of mobile app development for a large retailer is almost an unique case in the Russian market.
The application provides all the functions necessary for shopping. Among them there are searching for goods in the catalog using various filters, ordering, choosing convenient way of payment and delivery.

The loyalty system and personal account, which we developed a year ago, have also been added to the new app.
For many offline retailers of this scale, to develop an app with online store is an ambitious task. Difficulties arise due to the large number of legacy IT solutions in the infrastructure: product catalogs, order processing systems, warehouse and logistics management solutions, cash services.

In order to combine all the functionality in one mobile application, a development team has to be highly competent not only in mobile development, but also be experienced in solving complex integration problems and know specific nature of omnichannel infrastructure.
The web version of the online store is capable of supporting up to 50,000 customers at a time. In the mobile application load was expected to be comparable, therefore, we had to consider all the nuances of the architecture designed by the Detsky Mir team, as well as in the native applications that were developed by 65apps.

The updated Detsky Mir mobile application is the further step in developing the digital product which previously had only contained the loyalty program and electronic bonus card. Now Detsky Mir has acquired a new full-fledged sales channel in a smartphone and a convenient way to communicate with customers.

The design was created by the product department of our company, while 65apps developed the app for iOS and Android. That was the second release carried out jointly by the teams of Detsky Mir and 65apps.
